My love of health and fitness began at a very young age where I would play any sport possible from soccer, athletics and pretty much anything that involved me running around with friends. However, it was soccer I quickly excelled at and was my first true sporting love. It was my dream to become a Professional soccer player and was overjoyed when I signed as a young professional for Coventry City FC in the UK.  During my time there I was first introduced to the gym, something I developed an instant affection with. After a mixture of recurring injuries, lack of opportunities and quite simply not being good enough my dream was ended. As a result, found myself in the position of having to choose another career path.

I then qualified and worked for several years as a full time plumber. Throughout this period I continued to play semi-professional soccer, but as I matured my love for the gym slowly out grew my love of soccer, realising my passion for working out hard was far greater than kicking a ball around. So after a couple of years decided to stop playing completely and focus more in the gym. Whilst still a plumber, in 2009 I entered the Men’s Health Cover Model Competition but was devastated after missing  a phone call to say I had made the final but had rang back too late due to being at work!

In the October 2010 came the most pivotal moment in my life to date...

After strong persuasion from friends/ family I entered again and won the 2010 Men’s Health Cover Model Competition! The success I’ve achieved since are what dreams are made of. I’ve graced more front covers/book publications and inside features for major magazines including Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Muscle n Fitness plus being used on supplement bars/drinks in major health stores. I’ve also became a sponsored athlete along the way, attending all the major fitness exhibitions in the world experiencing some incredible moments. In the UK, I have fronted all marketing material for all the major exhibitions and competitions including the biggest, Body Power. But without doubt the biggest benefit of all the exposure I have had is now becoming a source inspiration as a Personal Trainer/Fitness Model to both clients and followers not only in the UK, but now on a global scale as a Master Trainer. I hope my story is living proof that with a positive mindset and hard work you can come through adversity and achieve anything you want to!

Moving into Personal Training was a natural progression. The skills I have learnt from the some of the best coaches in the world from my soccer days and now in fitness are invaluable in my job today, combining them with my own style to great effect. If ever there was a job that allows me to utilise my passion, energy and skills as person to the complete maximum then this is it. I love motivating, getting into the mindset of people, helping their body improve with it and making a difference every day. I push hard, but get results. ‘Focus on one step at time, always believe and enjoy the journey!’
